Cameron Dragons is a community hub for the people and organizations who support Cameron’s young people. Behind every game, concert, competition, and celebration is a network of parents, volunteers, coaches, educators, and neighbors giving their time and energy. This site brings those groups together in one place, so it’s easier to see who is making a difference, find the organizations that matter to your family, and get involved.

Our mission

To strengthen our community by connecting families, volunteers, and supporters with the organizations that help Cameron’s youth learn, grow, and thrive — because the engaged young people of today become the leaders, neighbors, and community builders of tomorrow.

We believe a strong community starts with engaged youth. When young people join a team, perform on a stage, raise an animal, or serve alongside their classmates, they learn far more than a skill. They discover teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. They build confidence by setting goals and reaching them. They form lasting relationships with mentors who believe in them. And they learn what it means to belong to something bigger than themselves.

Those lessons don’t stay on the field or in the classroom. Young people who are supported and involved grow into adults who stay involved — who volunteer, coach, lead, and give back. Every hour a volunteer spends and every dollar a supporter gives helps turn the youth of today into tomorrow’s future.

Why we’re here

Cameron is home to many organizations that serve our young people: booster clubs, sports teams and clubs, youth programs, and parent and teacher groups. Each has its own pages, social media, events, and sign-ups, which can make them hard to find — especially for families who are new to the area or have a child trying something new for the first time.

Cameron Dragons exists to share awareness of these groups and the work they do. By gathering them in one place, we hope to help more families discover the opportunities available and help each organization reach the people who want to support it.
